Dog Friendly Holiday Cottages

Located in the lovely bustling North Devon village of Bampton, Mill Cottage and Leat Cottage offer a peaceful and comfortable accommodation in this beautiful conservation area. 

Although you can step out to the shops a few yards away, the house and cottages back onto three-quarters of an acre of garden and water meadow, with the river Batherm running through and fields and hillside beyond.

The Grade 2* listed cottages offer an ideal self-catering base for walkers and nature lovers, with Exmoor National Park right on the doorstep.

Mill and Leat Cottages

The 2 self-catering cottages are owned by Carol and Alastair Peebles, who live in the adjoining house.  We have put a lot of work into making our holiday cottages as homely as possible.  They are well equipped and we have added touches that we would like if we were staying away from home.

Bampton Village

Our local shops within 2 minutes level walking distance have everything you need.

Bampton is perfectly located to explore the stunning Exmoor National Park and the superb North Devon and Somerset coastline. Also within an easy drive are a number of National Trust Properties, Knightshayes and Killerton House. For those seeking a more active holiday the area offers many opportunities, including Wimbleball Lake Country Park.

We are also very dog friendly here.  We have 4 non-territorial pointers, who love visitors and a fully fenced enclosed garden.
